Chris has been immersed in a rich and culturally diverse life experience for as long as he can remember. He graduated from Punahou in Honolulu before coming to Los Angeles, where he attended and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1975, cum laude with a degree in both Political Science and International Relations.

Chris trained as a Management Intern with the Bank of Hawaii and learned about business, banking and finances before returning to Los Angeles and enrolling at Southwestern Law School, where he graduated in 1981. Chris attended Southwestern during their evening sessions and for part of that time he also worked as a Fraud Investigator for a major credit card company during the day. Chris was admitted to practice law before all the State and Federal Courts of the State of California in December, 1981.

While enrolled at Southwestern Law School, Chris also worked full-time as a law clerk for a prominent Southern California insurance defense firm, Chase Rotchford Drukker & Bogust. By the time he was first licensed as an attorney he already had more practical experience in the law than many other licensed attorneys with more seniority.

Chris has a varied and extensive background in all aspects of civil litigation, including product liability (such as asbestos and other toxic exposures), personal injury, bodily injury (both as a plaintiff and defense counsel), construction defect, subrogation, medical malpractice, elder abuse, as well as prosecuting and defending all manner of third party and first party claims from the initial intake until fully resolved. Chris has worked at many prominent law firms during his career and has developed a reputation as someone who is credible, prepared, creative, and genuinely concerned about his clients’ issues and cases.

Chris is an experienced civil litigation trial attorney, having taken many cases to trial, both before a jury and judge. Chris has taken hundreds of expert witness depositions in a variety of fields of expertise, such as in medicine, engineering, fire cause and origin, property damage or construction. He has also handled hundreds of arbitrations and mediations, including volunteering and serving as an arbitrator and mediator for many decades for the courts and private parties and their counsel.
